For Vickie Edwards, inclusion is personal. Inspired by the bond with her sister Danell, who has developmental disabilities, Vickie founded WeCare Industries—a mobile salon service dedicated to uplifting individuals with disabilities through self-care and confidence-building.
Vickie’s journey began when she recognized the disparities in care and support for individuals like Danell. Determined to make a difference, she created WeCare Industries to provide hairstyling services that go beyond beauty. For Vickie and her team, each haircut is an opportunity to foster self-esteem, promote dignity, and ensure every person feels valued.
A proud supporter of Special Olympics Southern California, WeCare Industries has been a regular vendor at Summer Games, offering athletes and families a space to look and feel their best. Their presence is a testament to the power of community and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Through their work, Vickie Edwards and WeCare Industries are making a lasting impact—empowering individuals, fostering self-confidence, and promoting inclusion, one hairstyle at a time.
