Our Special Olympics Southern California athletes have brought some new medals with them into this second week of the 2019 Special Olympics World Games. Two gold medals in the pool from Jonathan Pierce, as well as a bronze from Mark Hanson and Krystal Johnson on the tennis court, to be specific. Read more about it in our weekend recap.
While the athletes are enjoying this once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Games, there are a few seasoned veterans at these events each year. In fact, this is Bill Fields 13th trip to watch Special Olympics athletes compete. Learn more about Fields’ experiences at the World Games.
