2024 Fall Games Featured Artist Henry Iradj

Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) is set to host the Fall Games on November 16 and 17, 2024, in Fountain Valley. This uplifting event will bring together hundreds of dedicated athletes and coaches from across Southern California to pursue greatness in golf (traditional and Unified), soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. With every swing, kick, and serve, these athletes will showcase the power of teamwork, perseverance, and the unbreakable spirit that defines true champions. Communities are invited to join in the excitement, supporting athletes as they strive for gold and exemplify the heart of Special Olympics.

This year, Henry Iradj is honored as the featured artist at the 2024 Fall Games. The tradition of highlighting athletes’ creative talents alongside their athletic achievements began at the 2024 Summer Games and continues with Henry, whose story is one of creativity and a commitment to inclusion. Henry, who trains in swimming, bowling, and golf, joined the Special Olympics family nine months ago in Maui and quickly found a supportive community upon returning to Long Beach.

After graduating from Millikan High School, Henry expanded his skills at Cal State Long Beach’s Adult Community Transition Program and later at ABC Adult School, where he discovered his love for sewing. With guidance from his mentor, Dianne, Henry launched his Etsy store, Sewing Arts Planet, in 2017, offering a range of handmade items, from bucket hats to bandanas. Every piece reflects his precise, careful sewing style, a technique he’s honed over years and one that has earned him a global customer base.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five, with the drawing held on Sunday at 2 p.m. near the Honored Guest Pavilion.
